In March 2025, the 1st Year team celebrated a hard-earned 1–0 win over Highschool Clonmel in the Munster Cup 4th Round, with Cathal Lillis scoring the decisive goal. The Senior team also made headlines that month, progressing in the inaugural Dick Lowney Tipperary Senior Cup after a dramatic 4–2 extra-time win against Cashel CS — a game that showcased resilience and determination.
The school’s soccer success is supported by strong community ties. In 2023, the U17 panel reached the Munster Junior Soccer Cup final, backed by generous sponsorship from Ronayne Hardware and Tivoli Dry Cleaners. Such support reflects the deep connection between CBS Thurles and the local community, and the pride taken in student achievement.
